Welcome to Schermer Construction, Inc.
Schermer Construction, Inc. was established in 1989 as a Logging Road construction contractor with Doug Schermer and one employee, building subgrade with a Cat 235 shovel and Cat D8K dozer. The company has grown over the years to nearly 30 highly skilled employees doing all phases of Logging Road Construction, Forest Bridge and Culvert Projects and Road Maintenance work. The company aspires to be the "contractor of choice" for forest road and bridge building projects on the Olympic Peninsula and S.W. Washington.
We are an open-shop contractor with a stable workforce, many of which have been with the company 15-20 years. All personnel are drug free and attend annual First Aid/CPR training. Our people and equipment allow us to also perform heavy civil earthwork and clearing projects. We understand the importance of satisfied customers and make them a priority. Some current and past customers include: Sierra Pacific Industries, Green Diamond Resource Co., Anderson & Middleton Company, Rayonier, Hampton Affiliates, Green Crow Co., Dept. of Natural Resources, Grays Harbor County Forestry Dept., Coastal Wind Energy, LLC., St. Helens Energy LLC., American Forest Management and Harbor Timber Co.
